Axair Nortec Humidifiers

Commercial Humidifiers using Steam or Electricity

When it comes to commercial humidifiers, Nortec is the name most sought after. Nortec began in 1973. In 1982, Nortec allied with the Swiss Company AxAir Group. Currently, Nortec sells through 120 sales organizations in Canada, US and Mexico. Nortec manufactures gas steam humidifiers called the GS Series, the Airfog Series and the Livesteam Series. They also make electric steam humidifiers for the commercial sector.

The electric steam humidifier boasts self-diagnostic functions and service indicators. It even repairs itself of minor issues and shuts down automatically for major issues. The electric steam humidifier is perfect for HVAC systems; a computerized interface controls the output. Installation costs are considerably lower than competitors. Nortec humidifiers can be used with large and small systems.

Nortec gas steam units in the GS Series are perfect for zero clearance areas, but they offer incredibly high efficiency outputs. You can use these humidifiers with a local humidistat. Multiple units can be controlled together or from one building management system. These Nortec units use a draft combustion air blower, stainless steel, removable heat exchanger, a premix burner of 100-percent and negative pressure gas valve regulator.

The GS Series won a Climatex technology award, and it was a finalist with Plant Engineering for product of the year. Nortec’s Humidification Engineering and Loadsizing Program (H.E.L.P) software has been rated easy to use. It shows cost analysis, weather data and interactive psychometric charts, plus product explorer and engineer binders.

The Air Fog humidifier series has been around since 1993. It uses an atomizing, stainless steel nozzle; this model has been used globally for about twenty years. You can get customized Air Fog nozzles or you can buy them out of the box depending on your usage needs.

These Nortec humidifier nozzles are perfect for use with reverse osmosis or deionized water, especially where outbound mineral deposits are an issue. You can get Air Fog humidifier systems for small or large facilities.

Nortec’s Live Steam brand of steam injection humidifiers has been around since 1995 and distributes pressurized steam from a boiler into ductwork or air handling units. It has brass and stainless steel components; it looks like it comes from a past era. There is an optional jacket-cover made of fiberglass to efficiently transfer heat and minimize heat loss. These Nortec systems include humidistats, temperature switches, steam traps, separators, steam valves, steam distributors and pneumatic or electric actuators. It has an on-off switch and only a two year limited warranty.
